7-Day Tararangire National Park Empakai Crater Olmoti Crater, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro

Day 1: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK- walking, game drives and Night game drives
Meet your experienced English speaking guide at your Hotel in Arusha at 8:30am, drive with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park.
When you arrive your meet Armed ranger and have a walking safari in the morning around the Park, during a walking safari in Tarangire National Park you feast your eyes on gigantic baobab trees, acacia woodlands and outgrown termite mounds. Don’t be suprised if you also come across migrating herds of cape buffalos, wildebeests, and zebras, or have a rendezvous with olive baboons, giraffes, impalas, and gazelles etc
After lunch proceed with game drive and have opportunities to see Zebras, Wildebeests, Buffaloes, Elephants, Maasai Giraffes, Fringe-eared Oryx’s (gemsbok), Predators include Lions, Cheetah and Leopards.
After sunset drive to Tarangire public campsite for early dinner.
Night game drives.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park game drives
Early morning at 05:45am take your breakfast box and proceed for a sunrise game drive, and continue with game drives till afternoon drive back to the camp for hot lunch.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park game drive
After breakfast, have a full day game drive en route to Pimbi Campsite at Central Serengeti. Hot lunch on the way.
Pass through Ngongoro Conservation Area where you will view different wildlife on the way to Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti National park game drive
Early at 05:30 am take your breakfast box and proceed for Sunrise game drive until 08:30am drive back to the camp, take your luggage and hamper box and proceed for a full day drive in this wonderful National Park. Hot lunch somewhere in the bush.
Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year with picnic lunch, we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of Lions, be in the middle of the Migration, sometimes surrounded by Wildebeests, Zebras, which travel with the Wildebeests.
This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate in game viewing, you will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeests, Lions and if you are lucky you will see the elusive Leopards and Cheetahs, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater game drive
After early breakfast drive to Ngorongoro, Descend 610 meters into Ngorongoro Crater floor for 6 hours game viewing . Spot the endangered black Rhinos, Lions, Elephants, Zebras, Buffaloes and wildebeest and other wild animals. Hot lunch inside the crater floor
Also, in Ngorongoro Crater Soda Lake you will see many species of birds including Flamingos. All these animals in turn support large predators such as Lions and Leopards, and scavengers such as Hyenas and Jackals.

Day 6: Visit olmoti Crater-waterfalls and walk to Empakai crater rim
After breakfast drive to Olmoti crater, walk around the crater rim for one hour, visit waterfalls.
Then drive to Bulati Maasai local primary school and have a lunch near the school.
After lunch trek to Empakai. The walk offers spectacular views of both recent and ancient volcanic mountains, including Kilimanjaro, Meru, and Olmoti Crater, The Empakaai Crater is 300m deep with almost half the floor covered by a soda lake. Bushbuck, Buffalo, and blue monkey can be seen on the rim, which on a clear day boasts superb views of mount Ol Doinyo Lengai, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Lake Natron. During the night you may hear flamingo sounds as they return from their breeding ground at Lake Manyara and Lake Natron, Hot lunch on the way.

Day 7: Descend down in to Empakai Crater
After breakfast, you will walk pole pole (slowly -slowly)about 6 hours up and down through the beautifully scenery, viewing the magnificent Maasai plains, and Maasai mountain of God, to the rim of Empakai Crater, have a lunch in the crater floor just at the edge of the Lake.
Buffalos, water buck, reed buck, Zebras, Wildebeests, buffaloes and different species of birds can be seen at the close range, during the walk around the lake. After lunch ascend to the rim and then drive back to Arusha.

Day 1: Lake Manyara game drive-Day and night game drive, walking with armed ranger
Meet your professional driver guide at your Hotel in Arusha town at 08.30am and drive with picnic lunch packets to Lake Manyara Park for a game drive, till afternoon.After lunch starting walking inside the Park, the walks are guided and normally accompanied by an armed ranger.A walking safari is an excellent break from game drives, late evening drive to Endoro Lodge for early dinner.After an early dinner, leave the lodge at about 20h00 and explore the park for approximately three hours night game drive. Day 2: Game drive en route to Lake Victoria through Ngorongoro Conservation and Serengeti National Park
After early breakfast, you will start full day game drives en route to Lake Victoria through Ngorongoro Conservation and Serengeti National Park. Hot lunch on the way.
At evening drive into the nearby hills to take a look at rural areas of sukuma people, you will drive across many villages and see many farms of cotton, groundnuts, cassava, sorghum and others, you will also see some herds of cattle scattered around.
Sukuma people are famous for keeping a lot of cattle and farming. Their life is simple and they have been living in this area for centuries. See the local school and take a stroll to the top of a small kopje.

Day 3: Lake Victoria Fishing and experiencing Sukuma culture
After breakfast go on a trip to a fishing village with a tradition canoe, fishermen will paddle the canoes and on the way the scene is typical of the lake shore with an African style woman toiling in the fields and men fishing. Tradition songs is typical for fisherman when paddling taking one back in time as they sing songs of home of cattle and of life.
From the distance you can see the white la teen sails of fishing dhows or boats returning from a night of fishing far out on the Lake. Spend the afternoon visiting some village around Lake Victoria. Another highlight of this day is the visit to the traditional healer in one of the sukuma villages. Day 4: Serengeti National Park
In the early morning, you will be led to Serengeti National Park with an afternoon game watching and photographing in Serengeti National Park.Late in the afternoon, you will have a game watching in Serengeti until the sunset.After seeing the sunset in Serengeti National Park, prepare for shower, dinner and overnight.Wildlife statistical currently measures that Serengeti has large herbivore species of over 1,300,000 Wildebeests, 250,000 Thomson’s gazelles, 200,000 Zebras, 70,000 Impalas, 50,000 Topis, 30,000 Grants gazelles, 10,000 Lands, and many Antelopes and hundreds of Predators.Dinner and overnight Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 6 : Serengeti to the rim of Ngorongoro crater
Wakeup early in the morning to take a cup of coffee followed by an early game drive in Serengeti National Park, go back to the Camp, pack everything, take brunch, and depart with a game drive to Endoro Lodge.
You are in Serengeti plains, the world natural wonder, and the first natural African icon. Explore wild predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards kidding in the branches of trees, flamingos, and water birds on the Lake Magadi, as well as lovebirds and kingfishers across the Seronera River Valley.
Only in Serengeti, you will see millions of big wild mammals and maybe wildebeest migration. Then, you will depart with en route game watching across the Kopjes of Serengeti to explore the cheetahs, lions, and leopards. Hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, elephants, and small antelopes are plenty, finding their survival in this plain.

Day 7: Ngorongoro crater
After early breakfast, at 06:00am you will descend to the crater floor for about six-hour game drive with picnic lunch boxes, crater is a beautiful moment to experience especially in the morning hours.
It is a good time in which you can meet Lions hunting and hippos returning into the water after a whole night struggling for food.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the world’s garden and the place in which you can find some species of wild flowers. Here, you will also have an amazing experience to see the natural crater, flamingos, in late May and early June. Also, Ngorongoro is where to find the black rhinos regularly inside the small forest.

Day 9: Lake Natron and waterfalls
After breakfast, visit Maasai local comity and experience Maasai culture and experience their life style.
At 11:00 drive to the base and walk to the thundering waterfalls for swimming and making fun, enjoy to see the birds, after lunch visit Footprint heritage area.
Late afternoon visit the Lake Natron and take a short walking tour around the Lake to see one of the major Flamingo’s breeding areas, after sunset drive back to worldview campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Climb Mt Ol Donyo Lengai Volcanic active
At 1.00am have a cup of coffee and then drive to the starting point of climbing Mt OlDonyoLengai. Meet Maasai English speaking Mountain guide who will guide you to the Summit, climb with your guide up to the Summit 9442 ft / 2878m see Volcanic eruption, it is hard and steep, you have to be a mountaineer, there is climbing on the rocks.
From summit, view the magnificent landscape of the wonderful Ngorongoro Crater, Mt Longido, Lake Natron, Maasai Bush-land, Mt Kitumbeine, Mt Kerimasi, etc.
After sunrise descend down slowly to the starting point, the driver will be awaiting and then drive back to the camp for lunch.

Pick up from Mc Ellys Hotel at 9.00am, drive to Arusha National Park, a short 40 minute drive from Arusha town.The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne.At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting to accompany you on a walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only a few other National Parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.After a delicious picnic lunch we continue our safari within the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time to observe the wildlife, we will drive to Mc Ellys Hotel for overnight. Bed and breakfast.
DAY 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, at 9.30am drive with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive.Tarangire National Park covers 2,600 square kilometers and at dry times, the concentration of animal’s rivals that of the much better known Serengeti – the game numbers are staggering: E.g. 30,000 Zebras, 25,000 Wildebeests, 5,000 Buffaloes, 3,000 Elephants, 2,500 Maasai Giraffes and over 1,000 Fringe-eared Oryx’s (gemsbok), Predators include Lions, Cheetah and Leopards.Also flocks of birds: E.g. DAY 4: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Early morning at 30.00 am have a cup of coffee and proceed for a sunrise game drive till 8.00 am come back to the lodge for a full breakfast. After breakfast, have a game viewing with picnic lunch en route to lake NatronArrive in the afternoon. A short tour to Lake Natron on foot. Lake Natron is one of the major flamingo breeding areas. Evening, visit the nearby waterfalls for a swim in the river and also visit a Maasai family for a short cultural interaction. Dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Tented Camp or similar.
DAY 5: CLIMB MT OLDONYOLENGAI
Early at 1.0am have a cup of coffee, then drive to the starting point of Mt Oldonyo Lengai. The climb takes about 4 to 5 hours on a normal pace. The climb is strenuous and requires a physically fit person, arrive at the peak just before sunrise. Lengai volcanic crater looks like a field infested with red firelight insects just before sunrise. An amazing site to visit.The tour of the active crater after sunrise, then retracing your steps down to the base, drive to the camp for food and rest, dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Tented Camp or similar.
DAY 6 : SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast have a game drive en-route with picnic lunch to Serengeti National Park, crossing over Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The vast Serengeti plains are home to a huge variety of animals and birds species. Dinner and overnight at Shuhudia Adventure Camp or similar.
DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning at 5.30am have a cup of coffee, and then proceed for sunrise game viewing till 8.00am come back for full breakfast.After breakfast, have a full day game viewing in vast Serengeti Plains, home to a huge variety of animals and birds, Search among the trees and kopjes for the elusive Leopards and cheetah as well as Wildebeest Migration. After Sunset game drive back tofor dinner and overnight at Shuhudia Adventure Camp or similar.
DAY 8: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast proceed for a Game viewing en-route with picnic lunches and visit to the small but very interesting Dr. Leakey Historical Museum at Olduvai Gorge. Ascend from the plains to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge or similar.
DAY 9: NGORONGORO CRATER
After early breakfast descends to the Crater floor for 7 hrs game viewing with picnic lunches in Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro is one of the true wonders of nature and home of Rhinos, Elephants, Lions and many other species. Dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge or similar.
DAY 10: LAKE EYASI - LOCAL HUNTING WITH HADZABE BUSHMEN
Early at 5.30am drive to the bush meetHdzabe Bushmen tribe.They are often willing for visitors to come and see their simple bush homes where the tree canopy alone or a cave provides them with shelter.They live entirely off the bush and from hunting. After getting a special opportunity to walk with the Hadza, hunting or gathering honey and insects from the bush, after lunch drive to the lodge for breakfast.After breakfast visit Barbeig tribe and Mangati tribes to experience their daily life.After lunch drive back to Mc Ellys Hotel for overnight, bed and breakfast
DAY 11: ARUSHA –KILIMANJARO AIRPORT
After breakfast, drive to Arusha Town for town tour and shopping. Then drive to Arusha Town /Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha Airport.
